Herbs

Traditionally, Herbs are plants both useful for culinary and medicinal purposes. However, the term is generally used mostly for culinary purpose today. All the varieties we grow are culinary types, though some are reputed to have some medicinal value.

Not all Herbs are perennial, and indeed we grow several biennial and an annual or two; if in doubt, please ask, though we usually try to state if a plant is not perennial when being purchased. Listed within this catagory are many of the commonly used herbs (Parsley, Basil etc.) and also some which are not often used, but can add an extra touch to certain dishes.

I've tried to list them all here, but as well as missing one or two, we also increase our selection of plants throughout the year. If you don't see what you are looking for, please ask, our email address can be found at the top of each page, or click on Contact us for a choice of ways to do so.
