Bird boxes, bird feeders, photography, woodturning, hand-crafted cards and wood carving
As well as the plants we grow and sell, there are a number of items for sale at the nursery which are made by respective members of the family using different craft skills. On this page you will find a brief description of the items which can be found.
Hand-crafted Cards
A range of cards are available, all crafted by hand. Included are, according to the season, Valantines day cards, easter cards, Mothers day cards, birthday acrds, moving house cards, Christmas cards.
Photography
Photo Cards
A range of photo crdas is also available. These are photos printed onto high quality photo card and ande inserted into cards to create an original gift for someone. The images used vary from plants, flowers, buildings, garden scenes, birds (wild and domestic), butterflies and anything else that stays in front of the lens long enough!
Mounted Prints
As well as a range of photo cards, select images are mounted into high quality aperture mounts, ready to be put into the frame of your choice. Currently 2 sizes are available 8"X10" and 5"X7". There are plans to have these available already framed - watch this space!
Prints
Additionally, prints and framed prints can be purchased direct from Wallace Photography.
Wood turning
Also available is a selection of wood-turned items. Although the range available can change, there are some items which kept available at all times (where possible!) including; Dibbers (potting and garden varieties), pricking-out forks and sets, pens and pencils, scoops (or shovels), clocks (wall or mantel), eggcups, string/twine dispenser/holders, Garden Lines, tapestry bobbins, lace bobbins. Also frequently available: Bowls, vases, pots, Hiney dippers (also called drizzlers ar stirrers!) Kitchen roll holder, toilet roll holder. In addition, commisions are also considered for almost anything which can be turned. Past commisions include;Cheese board, Gavel, carving-fork handles, barometer base. Wood Carving
A selection of carved wooden items can be seen/purchased, including signs. Due to the time required to complete a single carving, this range is somewhat more limited. Again, however, commisions are considered, please contact us for further infornation.
Bird Boxes and Feeders
Additionally we stock a selection of Bird nesting boxes and feeders, and due to several requests, Bat Roosting boxes. These are available through most of the year. They are all constructed from timber, rather than the usual plywood, to allow sufficient thickness of wood to insulate the birds during the cold months. The selection available has increased over the years to include the standard types below:

coconut shell fat feeder(supplied filled with seed/fat mixture.)
Additonally, most of the wooden items above, can be engraved, either with a persons/pets name etc., or a simple image. There are several options to choose from.
