Miscellaneous Vegetables

Below are details of the varieties of vegetable which do not fit into the other catagories we will have available as plants this year.

Beetroot; Available this year due to demand (for those of you who kept asking, we humbly submit!). These are produced by direct sowing into 20 cell trays. For those who have grown Beetroot before, you will know that each seed produces 2-3 plants, of which the strongest should be selected and the others removed, in order for the root to properly develop. This will already have been done before the plants are ready for sale

Florence Fenel; These are sown into seed trays and then pricked out into idividual cells in 24 cell plug trays. Each tray can be easily divided into individual plants, enabling the purchase of individaul plants if a whole tray is not required, or they can be mixed with other vegetables, in the size plug tray and still only pay the whole tray price.

Sweetcorn; These are sown directly into 24 cell plug trays. Although these trays can be divided into individual plants, it is reccomended that you plant sweetcorn in blocks of, at the minimum, 9 plants (planted in a square 3 plants by 3 plants). It does, however, allow you to purchase just 1 or 2 if you've suffered a loss in your "square".

Beetroot is only sold in 20's at £2.50 per tray

Fennel is priced at 20p each or £4.50 a tray (24 plants)

Sweetcorn is priced at or £ a tray (24 plants)
