Beans and Peas

Below are details of the varieties of Barlotta Beans, Broad Beans, French Beans, Runner Beans and Peas we will have available as plants this year.

All the Bean varieties are sown in bio-degradeable Sweet Pea grow tubes (2 seeds sown in each tube, most times they both germinate), and can be planted straight into the ground or containers to minimise on root disturbance. Please ensure the entire grow tube is planted beneath the surface of the soil/compost, as any protrusion acts as a wick, drawing out the moisture.

All Bean varieties are 30p per pot.

The peas are sown into 9cm (3½") round pots. 5-6 seeds are sown into each pot (resulting, in most circumstances, in 5 seedlings).

Peas are 50p per pot.
